There are various activities which can be organised by the staff at the lodge. All activities are inexpensive. If you are thinking of an activity you are interested in, contact the lodge in advance by email and they can give you an idea of costs. If there is something you are interested in which isn't listed here, contact the lodge to find out if they can organise it for you.

 

• Local drummers and dancers from the village can entertain you for tips as night falls.

• If you are interested in how a traditional village works, local people can show you around and explain village practices. (half day; 50 delassie)

• If you would like to have lunch with a family in the village, let the staff know and they can organise it for you. (200 delassie per person)

• You can meet the palm tapper in the village and he can provide a sample for you of palm wine and show you how he climbs the palm trees. (2 hours; 200 delassie per small group, including sample of palm wine)

• Bird watchers can be taken to see some of the beautiful bird life in The Gambia around the village. (full day; 200 delassie per person)

• You might want to take a small boat into the creek and have a local villager explain what happens in the river. (2 hours; 50 delassie per person)
